Perimenopause & Menopause Care - Who this is for

This service may be a fit if you’re experiencing:

  • Hot flashes or night sweats

  • Mood changes, anxiety, irritability, or low motivation
  • Brain fog or difficulty concentrating
  • Weight changes or metabolic concerns
  • Low libido, vaginal dryness, or discomfort with intimacy
  • New or worsening headaches, body aches, or changes in skin/hair

If you’re not sure whether symptoms are menopause-related, that’s okay — our job is to evaluate the full picture and rule out common overlapping conditions.

What to have ready for your visit

A little preparation helps us use your time well. If available, please have:

  • A current medication and supplement list (including doses)
  • Your symptom timeline (when symptoms started, what’s changed, what makes them better or worse)
  • Any recent labs from your PCP or OB/GYN (if you have them)
  • Relevant medical history (blood clots, migraines with aura, cancer history, hysterectomy, oophorectomy, etc.)
  • Your goals for care (sleep, hot flashes, mood, libido, weight, metabolic health, and more)

If you don’t have prior labs, that’s okay. We’ll recommend testing only when it’s clinically helpful.

FAQs

Do I need labs before my first visit?

Not always. We start with an evaluation and review your symptoms, history, and goals. If you have recent labs from your PCP or OB/GYN, we can often use those. If labs are recommended, we’ll start with a simple baseline bundle and add targeted testing only when it’s clinically helpful.

Do you prescribe menopausal hormone therapy (MHT)?

We may consider MHT when clinically appropriate after a comprehensive evaluation and risk review. We’ll discuss benefits, risks, alternatives, and monitoring in plain language so you can make an informed decision.

What if I’m not sure whether I’m in perimenopause?

That’s common. Many symptoms overlap with other conditions, including sleep disorders, thyroid changes, anemia or iron deficiency, mood disorders, and metabolic concerns. Our approach is to evaluate the full picture, determine what may be contributing, and recommend options that make sense for you.

Do you offer telehealth and in-person visits?

Yes. We offer telehealth for patients located in Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Oregon. Your care plan will be based on your needs, safety considerations, and what can be managed effectively through telehealth.

Can you coordinate with my PCP or OB/GYN?

Yes. When appropriate, we can coordinate with your existing care team. Many patients prefer a collaborative approach, especially when they have ongoing preventive care, chronic conditions, or specialty follow-up.

Do you take insurance?

We offer both insurance and self-pay options. Insurance coverage varies by plan and visit type. If you would like to use insurance, our team will verify benefits before scheduling whenever possible.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on your symptoms, medical history, and whether treatment changes are made. Many patients start with an evaluation, then a follow-up to review results and finalize a plan. If medication is started or adjusted, follow-ups are scheduled to monitor response, tolerability, and safety.

How quickly will I feel better?

Everyone responds differently, and we do not promise specific outcomes. Some people notice improvement in certain symptoms sooner, while others need time and a few adjustments to find the right approach. Our goal is a safe, structured plan with clear follow-up.

Do you offer testosterone therapy for women?

We evaluate symptoms and discuss evidence-based options. If hormone testing is clinically appropriate, we may recommend it. Any treatment decisions are made after a comprehensive review of your symptoms, history, and goals, with appropriate monitoring.

Do you require hormone testing to treat menopause symptoms?

Not necessarily. Menopause care is often based on symptoms, age or stage, medical history, and risk assessment. Hormone testing may be recommended in select cases when it will meaningfully change management.

What if I have urgent symptoms?

If you have severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, new neurologic symptoms, heavy bleeding, or any concern for an emergency, seek urgent or emergency care right away. For non-emergent concerns, we’ll help you determine the safest next step, which may include a referral.

What states do you serve?

We can provide virtual care to patients located in Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Oregon. If you’re unsure whether you’re eligible, call us and we’ll confirm before scheduling.

If urgent symptoms or red flags are present, we may recommend a higher level of care.
