Nursing Clinical Preceptorships

Supervised Outpatient Clinical Experience

Wholesome Clinic offers a limited number of clinical preceptorship opportunities for eligible nursing students enrolled in affiliated programs.

Students may gain supervised exposure to outpatient behavioral health, patient interviewing, psychiatric and behavioral-health assessment, patient education, medication-management workflows, care coordination, clinical documentation, and the day-to-day operations of an outpatient healthcare practice.

Starting and growing a healthcare practice involves far more than choosing a business name, obtaining a license, or selecting an EHR.

Private strategy sessions help nurse practitioners think through practice startup, credentialing, operations, staffing, pricing, service development, technology, workflows, marketing, telehealth, and other real-world business decisions.

LVN-to-RN Nursing Clinical Preceptorships

Structured outpatient clinical learning in Frisco, Texas.

Wholesome Clinic accepts a limited number of eligible LVN-to-RN nursing students for supervised clinical placement.

Clinical experiences are primarily completed in person at Wholesome Clinic in Frisco. Select telehealth learning experiences may be incorporated when clinically appropriate and permitted by the student's nursing program.

The number of clinical hours may vary based on the student's nursing program, course requirements, and approved clinical placement.

Placements are intentionally limited to support a meaningful learning experience while preserving the quality and flow of patient care.

Students must be enrolled in an affiliated nursing program and complete all school and Wholesome Clinic onboarding requirements before beginning the rotation.

Clinical Hours Based on Program Requirements

Primary Setting In-Person • Frisco, Texas

Preceptorship Fee $10 / Clinical Hour

Total Fee Approved Hours × $10

Example: A student requiring 50 approved clinical hours would have a total preceptorship fee of $500.

Why is there a preceptorship fee? The fee helps offset the provider time, clinical supervision, onboarding, scheduling, educational support, and evaluation responsibilities associated with each student placement.

Limited placements are available each semester.
Placement is subject to clinic and preceptor availability.
Clinical hours are based on approved school and course requirements.
Enrollment in an affiliated nursing program is required.
Select telehealth experiences may be included only when permitted by the nursing program and appropriate for the clinical experience.
School and clinic onboarding must be completed before the rotation begins.
Submitting a placement request does not guarantee acceptance.
