Our approach

ADHD Can Affect Focus, Follow -Through, Emotions, and Daily Functioning

ADHD is not simply a lack of motivation or discipline. It can affect attention, organization, time management, emotional regulation, school performance, work performance, and relationships.

At Wholesome Clinic, every ADHD treatment plan begins with a psychiatric evaluation. We review your symptoms, history, current medications, school or work concerns, and overall mental health before making recommendations.

For some patients, ADHD treatment may include medication management. For others, the first step may include additional testing, therapy referral, school documentation support, or evaluation for other conditions that can mimic or worsen ADHD symptoms.

1

Evaluation first

We begin with a clinical evaluation rather than assuming every focus concern is ADHD.

2

Testing when helpful

QbCheck testing may be recommended when additional objective data would support the evaluation.

3

Ongoing care

Follow-up visits help monitor treatment response, side effects, functioning, and next steps.

What we evaluate

ADHD Symptoms We Commonly Evaluate

ADHD can look different from patient to patient. Some people struggle mostly with focus, while others notice impulsivity, emotional overwhelm, procrastination, or difficulty completing tasks.

Inattention

Difficulty sustaining focus, losing track of tasks, forgetfulness, distractibility, or trouble following through.

Executive Dysfunction

Challenges with planning, prioritizing, organizing, starting tasks, completing tasks, and managing time.

Impulsivity

Interrupting, acting before thinking, difficulty waiting, emotional reactivity, or decisions that feel hard to pause.

School or Work Struggles

Difficulty keeping up with assignments, deadlines, meetings, responsibilities, or performance expectations.

Emotional Regulation

Feeling easily overwhelmed, frustrated, reactive, or mentally exhausted by tasks that others seem to manage more easily.

ADHD with Anxiety or Depression

ADHD can overlap with anxiety, depression, sleep problems, trauma, and stress. We evaluate the full clinical picture.

You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis. Your evaluation is designed to help clarify whether ADHD, another condition, or a combination of factors may be contributing to your symptoms.
Testing and treatment

ADHD Evaluation, QbCheck Testing, and Medication Management

ADHD care at Wholesome Clinic may include clinical evaluation, rating scales, history review, QbCheck testing when appropriate, and medication management if clinically indicated.

QbCheck is an objective computerized ADHD test that may be used to support the evaluation process. It is not the only factor used to diagnose ADHD, and it does not replace a clinical evaluation. Your provider reviews your symptoms, history, functional concerns, and testing results together.

When medication is appropriate, your provider will discuss treatment options, expected benefits, possible side effects, monitoring requirements, and follow-up frequency. Medication decisions are individualized based on age, symptoms, medical history, coexisting conditions, and clinical judgment.

QbCheck pricing: QbCheck testing is self-pay and costs $150. Insurance does not cover the QbCheck test through Wholesome Clinic.
